Redpolls at the feeder.
Lens: SMC A-400 Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Whitney, Ontario, Canada ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/500s Aperture: F8

At it's minimum focusing distance, a redpoll almost exactly fills the frame on an SMC A-400. Pentax must have planned it that way.

I actually had to move my tripod back until I achieved focus. You can't get any closer than that, at least not with this lens. Thaks for commenting zapper.

The thing I found most amazing was that there was no sharpening applied after the global presets I use with every import. They were already sharp enough.
