Razor sharp images and the birds have got the hang of that new feeder.

You really must have been far away to get that close Charlie. The males are really starting to brighten up and their black caps are coming in nicely.

The color pops in these, Capn. Nice job.

I know what you mean about taking your mind off the crazy stuff going on. Yesterday, I was glued to the TV - watching events unfold in Watertown, where we lived for 3 years; it was remarkably disturbing even though we were there back in the early '70s. Still, we saw so many places we knew, including the (now-defunct) laboratory where I worked and where we lived when I was stationed there. It felt genuinely weird, given the circumstances. Also, down here, we're watching the tragic aftermath of the industrial explosion in the town of West, Texas, where at least 14 folks have perished, 200 hundred were wounded and damage is unspeakable.

So . . . . . I'm going to follow your wise lead and get out on this beautiful day and do something fun.

Very cool zapper, I saw my first one yesterday and it was a female not a male. And she was on the wrong side of the feeder for me to get a picture. But, it's probably only a matter of time now until a few more of them turn up.
