Bryce Canyon Amphitheatre at Sunrise
Lens: DA 21 mm LTD Camera: Pentax K-01 Photo Location: Bryce Canyon ISO: 100 Aperture: F8

Here's a shot of the Bryce Canyon Amphitheatre at the sunrise golden hour taken from Inspiration Point. Boy was it ever cold and windy at the time. This was also the first time I used my Singh Ray reverse grad nd filters for my Lee RF 75 system to hold back the sky.

@OrchidJulie - Thanks for your comments. At the bottom right those would be trails and/or washouts from the water run off from snow melt and rain when it occurs. There are definitely no roads in the park down there. There are lots of great hiking trails though which we explored. It's interesting to be standing on the rim looking down, only to later to be at the bottom looking way back up at the lookouts.

@causey - Thanks for your kind words, glad you enjoyed the photo.!

@Brazeal - Thanks for your comments. It seems from your recent posts you like the same type of travel that we do!

@daacon - Dave, thanks for looking and taking the time to comment!

Incredible rock formations and fantastic light, definitely worth the early start, well done.

It's worthy of my standard phrase for good images, "print it large and hang it on the wall".

Great shot! Love the light. We are visiting there in May. I hope I can get there early enough. This is one of the best shots I have seen from inspirationpoint.

One of the best shots I have seen in awhile that really captures the expanse and the colors of Bryce. Stunning.

Mikemock - Thanks for your comments. I'm not much of a morning guy myself, but the light is so nice at that time, it would be worth it for you to get up to see it for sure!

The color and brightness transitions are spectacular - an amazing photo, for sure.
