Ghost Mantis

I had a fun photo session with this curious critter. This is a green form of the Madagascar Ghost Leaf mantis.

That's one of the most correctly named bugs I've ever seen, the phrase "it does what it says on the tin" springs to mind.

Great shot thanks for posting, I've never would have seen one of these otherwise.

this guy is about 2.5" long. They were excellent subjects and not a bit skiddish.
