all that water and can't get a drink, looks to be melting though, great closeups.

Goose on left in #2 appears to be checking to see if his uh, genitalia are still intact, being that it so cold LOL.

Look at the way it's walking using the built in ice crampons, great captures.

Great shots....I see Edmonton has the same 'spring' that Winterpeg is having this year.

Thanks buddy - there were some open spots and these geese dunked their heads in - brain freeze !

Thanks kerrowdown - yep build in ice picks come in handy around here this time of year.

Thanks lesmore - indeed - warming up this week and next - hopefully we have a good summer to make up for it. But it's certainly not unprecedented here or where you are either. It just that this year it started early and stayed late.

Nice crisp shots Dave. All this will eventually end and then you will have mosquitoes to deal with because of all the standing water the ice left behind.

Great shots, buddy. I didn't know geese can ice skate - but I don't know $%#^@ about birds.

Thanks Susan , it's really hit and miss here with regards to the mosquitoe population. They do spray and generally that takes care of the majority, however if we get a good dump (snow or rain) post spraying then they can be unbelievable.
