Back to Big Sur

I've been spending some time in the Big Sur area, a favorite of mine (maybe THE favorite). Here are a few shots. The last one is actually the old Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey, just up the coast.

In the first image I can almost just see the Greek mythology Sirens sitting on the rocks ready to lure unwary sailors to their doom.

Great shot.

These are all wonderful, Jerry. The first one is magic. Those blues and the wonderful scenery are like a perfect postcard!

Nice shots, I was in Monterey in the late 80's - beautiful area. So jealous of all the water and color.

Wonderful series GeoJerry. The poppies are really gorgeous and who doesn't love that coastline. That blue building nestled against the green background is stunning too.

TFS. Big Sur is at the top of my list also. Ever hike back into Lime Kiln Canyon? A favorite spot of mine in the "Hippie Days" (We usually got naked and became one with nature)

Thanks Dave. This was actually the first time I've ever been in downtown Monterey. Been there several times, but always skirted the town, or went to the aquarium.

Thanks Den... sure, I've hiked into Lime Kiln several times and was going to post some pictures (taken with my old Canon) but am away from home and they're on an external drive. Great place with some fantastic lighting and moving water.

Does the phrase "too much information" spring to mind.
