An hour with the Bigma.
Lens: Bigma Camera: K5 Photo Location: Saugus Ma
Posted By: charliezap, 04-25-2013, 04:39 PM

It was a nice day to sit on the deck and get some sun today. The air temp was 62 deg but on the deck where the sun was the thermometer on the house was at 105 deg.The Bigma was set up and I captured a few shots. The gold finches were a no-show. The first 3 are from 10ft away and the quarter is from 6ft.The last 2 are from 60ft. I'm still waiting for the return of the h-birds which will probably be in 2 weeks time.--charliezap

I like shots no. 2 and 3.
Were you shooting at 500mm at all in any of those ?
Just curious to see how the Bigma is doing at that focal length vs. my Siggy 150-500.

Cheers!

I like these shots Charliezap. I have had the 150-500mm and the 50-500mm and the first seems to be slightly sharper but the focusing is so slow I missed a lot of shots. The 50mm sure comes in handy at times, not as many lens changes to capture something.

Nice shots. That third is the standout for me, very sharp and great detail around the eye. Thanks for sharing.
