Fixer-upper.

Marvelous view.

Furnished.

Roof needs work.

Dust could be a problem, but because the nearest neighbor is about 60 miles away, you'll have plenty of time to dust before guests arrive.

Now I don't feel so bad about my "fixer-upper." I like the second, fifth, and last best of the set. Thanks for sharing.

Just a touch of paint here and there.

I can't help but wonder, if the neighbours are 60 miles away, why is it there?

What sort of stereo do you need to have, to warrant that level of isolation.

Great collection of images, I love stumbling on places like this.

Thanks for the kind words. This is Sand Pass, Nevada. The buildings, it's actually two of them, can be seen in GoogleMaps. Just search for Sand Pass Nevada and the buildings are between the Google marker and the apex of the curve of the railroad tracks. It's just so far out in the big empty that there's very little vandalism. My understanding is that there was once a mining operation there but I can't find much history on the place. The playa (the flat, white area) visible through the windows and the panorama is the Smoke Creek desert.
