Nature Sterling Nature Center at dawn

I went to Sterling Nature Center this morning to try out my new Vivitar 1.4x tele-converter. It works ok with my 55-300, but the Promaster 100-400 fringes badly...

The big attraction at Sterling Nature Center is the Heron rookery...

The wild flowers are starting to bloom...Red Trillium

White Trillium

The highlight of the morning for me...a Northern Harrier

I must not be as critical as you b/c in my opinion, the fringing isn't too bad. I like the flowers a lot - the Harrier is awesome, too.

There are other pictures that I didn't post where it is bad. It is more evident when you look at a full size pic...

The harrier shots are nice. You rarely see shots with them and their heads down looking for prey.
