OK, so first post ever. Took this from the ground. Conditions were that there was lots of snow!!! Pity I missed the top of the ear.

Taken on K10d + Pentax 55-200

First post ever - so a hearty welcome aboard! Too bad about the top of the ear (horn), but still, a great effort from ground level. It actually looks like you were more level with the profile. Nice shot with great colours. Thanks for posting. Look forward to seeing more shots from you here on the forum!

Well he's a handsome fellow, I must admit I've got a bit of a soft spot for these strange looking beasts.

I always think they were made up with the bits, that hadn't been used and were left over in the box, once all the other animals had been finished.

I always have trouble getting a decent photo of a giraffe but you managed it so well. Congrats and welcome to the forum.
