Sigma 28-80 Macro Not bad for a $45.00 lens
Posted By: Digital Hobby, 09-22-2006, 01:35 PM

Use this lens to photograph model cars. Really the first time I have tried it outside my basement. Not a bad lens for the money! Purchased from Cameta Camera on Ebay.

Granted it is not a true 1.1 Macro but it does do a pretty good job of close ups. Gold tint is from my desktop

Try using a tripod- I think the sharpness would increase dramatically, since it looks like these were taken in relatively low lighting...

Both taken in low lighting and both were on a tripod. Stormy here when I took the flower shots and it was quite dark. Quarter was snapped on my desk with halogen light which I never changed the WB before taking. Nothing better to do so I thought I would play with the lens to see how it performed.
