Homage to the Little Guy
Lens: DA 55-300 Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Texas Sea Center

On this forum, we're fortunate to see many breath-takingly beautiful flowers, artfully composed and creatively presented - a real joy, particularly in spring. However, I've come to the conclusion it's time to pay homage to the downtrodden of the flower world - the botanical proletariat that collectively does the biosphere's business unnoticed and unheralded. Here's a shot of one of these hard workers after a lifetime of toil . . . . . along with a toast to the "little guy."

Very nice - rich colors, nicely focused on subject, nice control of DOF. And amusing caption.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Sue, from me and from this laboring flower. I notice you're in Ohio. We lived east of Columbus (Granville) during the late '70s and early '80s, and my daughter did her Ph.D. at Ohio State from 2005 to 2009. So, we still have some connections to Ohio.
