Who doesn't love a moose? They are so homely they are gorgeous. Nice captures both.

Although it looks quite big, I showed the pic to a very seasoned hunter and his take is that this is most likely a year-old female.
Would be nice to see a full grown male!

I get those comments from people when talking "moose" ... : "ugly", "weird-looking", "freakish" ... but I think they do have their own personality (so to speak) and beauty.

Nonetheless, I am looking forward to spot some more of them, hopefully a mature male individual.

As for the roast ... I used to be quite fond of this type of "meat" but my choices have changed quite a bit over the past few years and I prefer "photo-shooting" them rather than shooting-them-for-the-plate.
