About 15 miles north from the Las Vegas Strip is Kyle Canyon, which goes west for 20 miles or so to Mt Charleston - the mountain and resort area.


Eventually you can go no further and you end up in the lodge parking lot :-)


Unfortunately, both day-use areas were having some construction going on, so there was no access to the hillside or trails :-(


The elevation is about 7,500 feet so at some times of the year this may be snowed in.


It was perhaps 80 degrees on this day.

Nice views Kyle and they named the streets after you I see. This is where Terri and I honeymooned, many moons ago.
