Photographic skills aside, will the ir-filter under b/w in PS come anywhere close to achieving this look compared to real ir-shooting? Will ofc try it out!
Software filters generally bias the amount of red green and blue to give a certain effect. In some cases that will give dark skies and light foliage, but in my experience thay can't give the brightness that grass and leaves show in true IR. They probably can't give the almost-black skies either.
*edit* Shadows in IR images are very dark indeed, simply because there is almost no IR from the blue sky. This allows very strong composition using shadow lines. I don't think that can be achieved to anything like the same extent with the PS filters.
