Great shot, EM. Gave me an idea from SF - "pulled into the vortex" or something like that.

Amazing, as usual. What I can't figure out is why there is never a breeze in your garden, EM. I don't even TRY shots like that because there's hardly ever a moment when the breeze (never mind wind) isn't blowing. OK, higher shutter speeds, but that means larger aperture (no DOF), higher ISO (noise city...)... <arrgh>

Another masterful image, sir. My hat is off to you!

Composition....simple, excellent.

Colour....really bright, saturated...excellent.

Technique....well done...very sharp.

Conclusion...you obviously know how to handle that K-511s and the Sigma macro.

I've looked at a number of your photo's and honestly can't think how a full frame could improve.

I shoot pretty early in the morning 7 - 8am and it is pretty still at that time and because it's cooler the insects aren't as mobile. Thanks for your comment.

Ah, well, it might be more calm here at that time of the morning, too... but I'm in the car on my long commute to that pesky day job...
