LA Arboretum Western Days
Lens: Various Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Arcadia CA

The LA Arboretum, in Arcadia, had a "Western Days" event.

Lots of trees, plants and flowers.

Some odds and ends.

The original ranch started with a few pairs, now they are all over, and not afraid of people.

This Queen Anne cottage was used in movies, and in the TV show Fantasy Island.

This carriage house matches the cottage architecture.

Apparently the bell tower was pretty nasty and smelly with bugs and animal remnants, and Herve Villachaise did not want to be up there. Supposedly, he did his "da plane! da plane!" in one take.

Pio Pico's saddle. Pio Pico was the last Mexican governor of California, before it became a US state.

They offered tour today, one of only 1 or 2 days year it is open. Had to wear booties, no photography inside.

On the appropriately-named mountain view trail.

The Tiny Tot division of a local dance group.

The intermediate group.

The advanced group.

Somewhat of a waiting line for the stage.

The historic depot.

A fancy pistol had a complicated routine to load the shells and cartridges.

An organ-like thing, and a bubble machine.
