Fantastic shots, Tess. I don't know which I like more; 1, 2, and last, maybe, but all are great. You have a good eye for details.

They are so creative. A post detailing what you did would be intriguing.

Thanks for commenting Corto-PA... I visualize 3, 4, 5, 6 as an installation, however the other three do stand on their own.

Thank you Trevor. I used my Tamron f/2.8 macro with the Pentax 1.7x converter. That combination always produces interesting results. It is a small fast stream through the woods and both days I had partial morning sunlight filtering through (hence the many shadow light designs), but the woods were still quite dark which gave me longer exposures. I find my eye sees differently when I have this combination of lens and small details jump out at me. The first was a swirling bubble caught between rocks. I use a tripod, set up directly over the bubble, and I think I shot that one at f/8. My habit is to take three shots...f/11, f/8, f/5.6... dof is always a crap shoot with the converter, ...and the shutter speed is auto defined by the aperture I use. In post processing I bump the contrast and vibrancy, and spot-define within the image. They were all taken in a similar fashion. Thank you for asking

Thanks Dave! I am really excited about these. I have no idea how they will print up, but I am going to give it a go.

We never know what you are going to come up with when you go out on a shoot Tess and it always fun to anticipate the results. These are really wonderful and I could look at them for hours on end. Thanks for explaining your process.

Fascinating work Tess. Clutching the edge of my table, I can feel myself being drawn into the vortex with #1. #2 also appeals greatly

Wonderful abstracts, tess. Throw in some water, some hydrogen bonding and a great photographer - just the formula for success.
