More hummingbirds...
Lens: DA L 55-300 Camera: K-x
Posted By: RonakG, 05-18-2013, 12:02 PM

With the feeder now in a better location, I'm able to get much better light on the hummingbirds. I'm hoping to get better at catching them during flight.

Thanks a lot guys. The DA L 55-300 is one of the most value for money long lenses out there.

Thanks. The bird here is about 3 inches in height.

Very impressive shots. Until I can afford the DA *300, maybe I should go ahead and purchase the 55-300!

Thanks. Yes the 55-300 is one of the most value for money lenses. It's only downside is slow focus hunting, otherwise it's a gem of a lens for the price.

You're getting the hang of h-birds real fast Ron.I tried some last night 20 minutes after the sun went down. They were bulking up for the night. He was perched on the feeder and I used my Pentax DA 100mm macro with Vivitar flash from 3ft away and he didn't mind a bit. I will post them later.Keep up the good work.--charliezap

Thanks. I'm still not able to get a good pic of that elusive red neck hummer. He keeps playing hide and seek with me.
