nice shot... I think I would have squared it up with same amount of window on either side. Is that the sun or is it a light?

It is a lamp or something. I shot this at night.

Thanks for your comment.

Nice. I agree with Pat B, perhaps try a version where more of the area around the window shows. If it is a small cottage, then perhaps most/all of the cottage? Could be an interesting experiment.

I kinda like this one too...a lot. I agree it could do with a crop off the left side to center the structure of the window in your photo frame. That way the light from the lamp would be a nice visual counterweight to the sailboat without the weighty dark left side.

I agree with the others, very nice picture but would like a little less dark on the left. You take wonderful photographs, can't wait to see more!

I really like this photo, and oddly enough I also like that the dark border distribution is not symmetrical. I think it looks great with the heavier border on the left.

A perfect "law of thirds" shot! I also like the vertical asymmetry of the shot as contrasted with the horizontal symmetry.

Very cleverly done! At first glance I assumed that was distant sunlit water in the background, it sort of looked like the little boat model was wishing it could be a real boat. I'm torn on the window frame - cropping the left would make it harder to tell it was a window, but it would be nice with more symmetry. If the framing window were symmetrical, the asymmetry of the boat on the sill would have more impact, I think. Either way, I like it very much!

Works for me And now I really really like after discovering this was shot at night...had me going for a second. I agree with the others on the crop.

This image is great. I love the lighting and the compo

A bit pity that the mast was sort of being cut off by the window frames
