Thanks, all!

I figured our solo cup aficionados would enjoy it...

Very cool, Julie - an imaginative shot, indeed.

I'm totally impressed with your lighting setup, Julie. I just wish I could replicate it for my orchid shots at the monthly society meetings.

Jer, thank you. Thought the "wine goblet" Solo cup (that's a real item there, I didn't conjure it!) would be a hoot.

RonH..."lighting setup"... ROFL... couple of boxes set up under the dining room light fixture....black background cloth clothespinned to the vertical blinds... ROFL

Thanks, guys!

Ah, well... that's simplicity in action! Whatever you used worked wonderfully. A beautiful shot!

Ron... thank you!

Imaspy... ah, right, if I'd opened it before shooting, who knows how the image would have turned out?

Jean... <haha>... I suspect these cups -- an obviously Yankee abomination -- may never appear on store shelves in France. But we have them (dishwasher safe, too)

Yes, the wine bottle should have been opened ... or maybe you could have used an open can of PBR. The possibilities are endless!

PBR? Surely you jest... a goblet like that deserves nothing less than a Blue (Labatt's)... something worth raising one's pinkie when holding it. Nobody raises their pinkie for a PBR...

After a quick Google for us none technical in the know and not USA folk.

If PBR is in fact Pabst Blue Ribbon beer, that glass/cup or whatever you call it is just way to wee to be of any real use.

Indeed, Pabst Blue Ribbon it is. Sort of a cult beer, I think, which is a very polite way to say it's very cheap. ...the wee cup holds 8 ounces of liquid, about half the capacity of its larger, stem-less brethren, and I imagine that quantity of PBR would be about all you'd want. You'd want to move on to a larger cup, and better beer. Hence the suggestion of a Blue (in any size cup, one can refill them after all). (Labatt's is a Canadian beer, BTW)

Aye, last had a few Labatt's Blues in a wee place called Kitchener, while on a wee road trip from Niagara to Chatham, Ontario.

Had a sore heed in the morning.
