Camera: K-5

Working on some old images. They may be over the top. Let me know what you think.

The portrait and the covered bridge work for me, particularly the portrait, but the colours are just too intense for MY PERSONAL TASTE in the first image. The orange in the foreground rocks is over the top.

Thanks so much for your input. I thought that HDR effect got away from me. I appreciate your taking the time to critique. Much appreciated. Now to go back and see if I can tone it down some.

I agree 100%. Exactly what I was going to say. The portrait is very nice--and I think you posted a color version of the bridge, on which I (positively) commented a while ago.

Thanks Stefan. The earlier bridge was a different view but on the same day. I took the advice given and toned down the orange on the rocks and it came out much better so, again, I thank you both.

These are awesome! Especially #2. #1 has a cool painterly look to it, almost an HDR effect.

Thanks so much. It is an HDR but I am just learning the process and tend to overdue it. Just purchased the Nik suite and am trying out all its features to see what it can do.

I really dig that covered bridge, Susan. Great composition, great conversion.

Amazingly, as long as you are not higher than 9' you can still drive over it. Thanks for the kind comment Jer.

Here is the first shot with the orange toned down. Better or should I do some more stuff to it?

Hi Susan... this pp stuff can be addicting but oh so fun I absolutely Love what you did with the portrait, but I would work on the highlight circle on the monkey's face... not too much, just enough to bring in a bit more detail so it blends better. I also really like this version of the covered bridge, even more than the first --- the sense of place is palpable now. I like the second version of the river scene, but still find the greens too vibrant. I think the green tones should be darker and richer, and I don't know if you can, but I would try to bring out some of the detail on the foreground rocks. I really enjoyed this series and look forward to seeing more of your work... thanks for sharing
