Starting shooting shots of this eagle when a Robin turned up. The hung out for a bit before the Robin did a fly by on the Eagle. Funny too watch. Should have put the video on them. JIM

Thanks Cupic. This Robin was really pushing this Eagle around until it decided to leave. JIM

Smaller birds do this with raptors. It usually means there's a nest (smaller bird's) around...or the smaller birds want the raptor to move on. ...as they are potentially dangerous to the smaller bird.

Last week I came across about 6-7 crows 'mobbing' a Great Horned Owl which was perched in a tree. The crows would fly close to the GHO...cawing, etc. The GHO just continued to perch there. Again I believe the 'mobbing' behaviour is done to get a predator to move on.

Seen the same. There is a pair of Osprey nesting close to home. The female is sitting on the eggs and the male is watching the nest from about 100 yards away. JIM
