Fly...take a breather!
Posted By: Alex 007, 03-12-2008, 04:24 AM

Hello lovely "Pentaxians"

Yesterday had the rare opportunity to catch this fly insect "Taking a Breather"...or "modeling" for me...

So decided to share with you of course!

My lovely K10D was set at "P" 100 ISO the shutter speed was 1/250sec & lens aperture set to F:10 using my always fitted film designed Sigma 28-20mm lens.

Of course any input always welcomed...as...all we must learn...

Peace,

Alex!

That is a good shot technically - maybe a tighter crop or get closer. The closer insect shots are always the best.

A good photo often includes a goodly helping of "right place, right time". But there is also a large dollop of skill to capture the scene! I like this photo, almost a "still life with a difference". Maybe I should try some photos like this... the bloody flies that are in Melbourne at the moment, yikes...

Its a nice photo. Very impressive rendering from the lens. Must put it on my LBA list.

Hmmm... interesting comments. I didn't see it as an attempted macro of a fly. I saw it as a plant photo with a fly as an element. I guess I was wrong.
