Couple of bird shots from a number I took this morning at the local Wetlands.
It is at the end of the egrets nesting time there.
Taken with Sigma 135-400 + Tamron 1.4Teleconverter.Some cropping on both.

Actually the first shot is just known, as far as I am aware, as a Water Fowl or Swamp Fowl.
Thay really are very common around swampy areas in this region. They spend most of the time swimming around in very murky water feeding on weed etc. Thanks for the comments and interest, much appreciated..

Hi Bruce, Adjusted WB in ACR, shadow/highlights in CS3 and a tiny bit of USM. But the same results could have been obtained in just about any other program.

Thanks a lot for that Heinrich. Iwill just persevere with it. I am slowly picking up the finer details of PP. At my stage of life, learning new things doesnt come easy.
