My first Northern Lights shots
Lens: DA15 Camera: K5 Photo Location: Wycliffe, British Columbia ISO: 1600 Shutter Speed: Above 6s Aperture: F4.5

Just happened to look out the window before going to bed this evening and saw the bright green glow of northern lights. First time I've ever taken pictures of them. It was fun.

Would love to see them myself someday. You are lucky to live where you are able to see them.

Always like pics of the Aurora. The 'portrait' framing in the first really works well with the silhouetted trees and light streams all leading to the top centre of the frame.

The Aurora is something I've always wanted to witness first-hand but unfortunately I've never had the opportunity so I have to look at it through other people's photos and you did a great job of capturing the moment.

My wife/kids tend to buy me a new wall calendar every year for Xmas and this year it was an Aurora calendar, one stunning photo per month.....bliss!
