Steve McQueen car show - part 1

Actor Steve McQueen spent a little time at Boys Republic, a "private, non-sectarian school and treatment community to help troubled youth." They put on a yearly Friends of Steve McQueen car show.

McQ owned and raced this 1961 Cooper T-56.


Exact replica of 1970 LeMans-winning Porsche 917.

Steve McQueen...."The King Of Cool"....What a legend.
IMHO, "Lemans" is the BEST motor racing film EVER.

I think LeMans was sort of a ground breaker for in-car cameras. I don't remember much of the plot, though.

....forgot all about the old Impala....what were they thinking when they designed that thing? Maybe that the back deck could make a nice place to spread out on a date in the woods? You could have a picnic there......or whatever????
