Excellent "first attempt". At first I thought is was a conversion to black and white with selective color added back in. Only change I'd make is to tweak the horizon slightly, a few degrees CCW to straighten it up a tad. The 'hot spot' in the sky could be a little disconcerting, but probably not much you can do about that. The composition and the elements of it draw the attention away from the overexposed hot spot in the sky.

This is an artistic image. The reflection works well within the frame and the grey rendering of the background compliments the swan nicely.
