Finally the DA 100 gets to perform this year.
Posted By: charliezap, 06-06-2013, 03:29 PM

After the sprinklers shut off I went out looking for some "EM" shots. My roses are "knock out roses" and they are blooming great this year.I put some H-Bird nectar on my stone wall and the ants found it real quick.Next time I'll put some on the greenery along the wall to get a more natural looking picture. All in all it was an hour well spent.--charliezap

Wow, stunning pictures. May have to look into getting this lens sometime. Are these hand-held or on a tripod?

Nice, lovely roses, I'm jealous. We need to start a whole section roses with drops and bugs.

Some of your best yet! I've never even come close on an ant shot like the first one.
Thanks Marc.If you throw enough lines in the water you're bound to get some keepers.--charliezap

I love those ants Charlie.... and the 100 macro is obviously getting to you. I feel naked if I walk out the door without a macro these days. It's an addiction.

I used a tripod for the shots so that I wouldn't be drifting out of the sharp focus area like I may do if I I hand hold it.--charliezap

I'd rather keep the ants at bay and fed 100ft from the house. It seems to work.--charliezap
