As I was driving down one of the park roads I noticed this huge raven in the trees. I was not going to stop as the jet black raven against a cloudless sky is a tough shot , not to mention who the heck wants to see a raven . But up to that point I had not captured much so I figured what the heck I am here and I got nothing but time. First shot was nothing special. Then he spread his wings. As I started to process this shot , I kind of like it. Anwyay that's my story

Crows & ravens are some of my favorites, Dave. Even though they're tough to get any detail on unless their in the right light (like you had here), I still like to watch them. Highly intelligent, they are known to use tools (rocks, sticks, etc) to open foods like nuts, eggs, etc.

I like this one!
