I was out at 6:30 this morning and as the sun rose above the trees it fell upon the tiny plants and forest floor in a magical way. Here are a few photos...

Looks like a great time to shoot, you still have dew on the leaves.

Another excellent series. I really do like the treatment you give to your photos. The last shot with the water lily pads is magnificent.

You can't beat the fresh, vibrant colours of new growth. You certainly live in a beautiful part of the world to have all this on your doorstep! Of the suite, the oak leaves are outstanding for me.

Thanks eaglem! (if I refer to you as eagle at any time it is because my auto spell checker changes your name)

Thank you patrick!!! That second leaf is huge. There has been a lot of rain this spring and everything is very green and very big.

Thanks Bruce, that was my last photo of the day... the mosquitoes and black flies came out and swarmed me. I wish I had taken a couple more at different f/stops but they chased me home.

Thanks Greenfox! Due to bug season I try to get out before 6:00 a.m. The only benefit to having a bug season.

thanks ozwald! I loved those too, but wondered if the OOF was too much. I was hoping to have another go at them, but the conditions were completely different this morning.

Tess... what's with all these early starts, you need to come round to ma hoose for couple a decent drams and I can then guarantee you a goods nights sleep 'till a sensible hour. Bring himself Norm with you and he can get a lay in too, without you crashing about in the middle of the night.

You've captured beautiful colours in the first couple of shots.
