Going Underground - II
Lens: Tamron/Samyang Camera: k-5 Photo Location: London Underground ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 1/20s Aperture: F4

I posted a few pictures from the London underground a couple of months back. Recently I had a chance to revisit London again so spent a little time capturing a few more stations on my hit list .

All taken with either Tamron 10-24 or Samyang Fisheye, ISO 400-1600 (pretty bad light in places and flash/tripods not allowed in the underground).

I enjoyed your first series, but this one's even better! That first one looks like a scene from a sci-fi movie. I love all these shots, but I keep coming back to #3 ("Stop"). Something about that shot really grabs my attention, and keeps it. It's awesome!

One thing puzzles me. Where are all the people? Surely this is a busy place?

More great images from you, there's got to be a book in the making here!

That's a damn good question what have you done with them all?

Either taken at anti social hours or a lot of hanging about waiting for clear shots and or horrendous amounts of PP.

Thanks all for the kind comments :-)

scratchpaddy - kerrowdown - These were taken on a Thursday afternoon. Some of the stations can be quiet (ish). I found that Southwark (dissect) to be very quiet in-between tubes. The others were a matter of waiting 5-10 minutes for the path to clear. Once clear you have a matter of seconds before the tunnel/escalator fills up again so you need to be ready to shoot. The only shot which had a lot of PP was 'Dissect' but in this shot it was all the Sign's that I needed to remove rather than people.

Is wasn't far off the mark then, Thursday afternoon = anti social hours, waiting 5-10 minutes for the path to clear = a lot of hanging about, all the Sign's that I needed to remove = horrendous amounts of PP.

It's still good work, give some thought to my book comment.

I really like these, the symmetry and geometry of it all. Good work!
