Yellow Warblers at Great Bear

Almost run over by a pack of mountain bikers, but it was worth it.

Thank you. I tend to miss a lot of shots because of how slow the 55-300 focuses on the 1.4X TC, but I usually get a few. There are several other species there but only the Yellows were out tonight.

I recently went on a local Audubon tour focusing on warblers and happened to several yellow warblers. I only brought my binoculars and wouldn't have likely gotten a shot of any of the warblers I did see as they flew in and out and about and my longest lens is also the 55-300 without a TC.

I was very lucky to get close to the one female. The other shots were cropped down to about 3MP.

There's a guy in one of my photo groups who specializes in getting close ups of warblers, but he has a Nikon D3S and a 500mm f/4. His tripod probably cost as much as my camera...
