My last series of photos had a lot of views but only one comment so I am thinking they must have either been really bad or so good that it left everyone speechless. Anyway I decided to post a few more from this wonderful part of West Virginia because we loved the area.
Thanks for looking.

Blackwater Falls

Lindy Point - one of the top three most photographed places in West Virginia

Seneca Rocks - a rock climber's mecca.

A couple of young white tailed deer hiding in the reeds.

Pink Lady Slippers were abundant.

I must have missed your last series, but I think these are beautiful. You've captured the area well. Great colors, crisp and sharp.

Well this does leave me speechless, but I can't keep my mouth shut, love the series Susan. The photo of the deer really turned out so crisp, a very beautiful photo.

I didn't see the first set, but if they looked like these it was clearly an issue of being speachless.

Thanks to all of you. I was beginning to feel that I needed a new hobby. I appreciate the nice comments but I am glad to have shown you all a little bit of this area of the country.

Beautiful water fall and area. I bet that autumn would bring dramatic colors to the area.

I think it would too. The Dolly Sod area is covered with blueberry and other low growing berry plants and from some photos I have seen, they turn the whole area to a fiery red. We plan on trying to get back up in the area in the fall but not this valley. It is really remote and the drive here is pretty steep and winding if you are pulling an RV.

I had to be really careful with those greens in PP. Mother Nature already overdid them and I didn't want to add to it.

Yeah, I'd say you did justice to that beautiful area. One of my favorite weekend trips, though it's been too long! Seneca at sunset is stunning--not the type of scene one expects in the East.

Thanks Dave. Come on down; we would love to have you. These mountain people are the friendliest people in the world (although some of you Canadians are pretty darn friendly too.) They would welcome you with open arms.
