I recently picked up a used K-5 from Adorama and gave it's baptism by fire in Zions this week. I'm altogether rather pleased at the results-- it's a huge step up from my old K10D. Comment and criticism welcome

Looks more precarious than it is- really just a ledge around the pool, which is just below the frame.


The cleft, with ominous dark clouds. Fortunately, it cleared up the next day and was almost perfect for canyoneering.

What a thoroughly enjoyable series. Looks like you are having no trouble adapting to the K-5. I especially like your take on the formations, completely different and very appealing. I keep wanting to study them. Really good job.

Thanks slowpez. I'm still trying to figure out a way to capture the grandeur and majesty of the walls along the main canyon. I think I may need to haul my view camera in there and use the tilts to keep them vertical.
