No Internet! Ferns from below!!
Lens: Tamron 90 macro, Pentax 1.7x TC Camera: K-5 Photo Location: The Woods of South Algonquin
Posted By: tessfully, 06-18-2013, 07:49 AM

We have not had steady internet since last Friday. It cuts out every few minutes and then only reconnects when it wants to. Hope they fix it soon. I have tried to comment on many photos but always get disconnected. Thought I would try sharing a photo to say hello. Hope to be back soon.

Crawled under the field of ferns and looked up at the sky.

Nicely captured Tess. Hopefully the bugs you most probably got on you during the shoot don't rub off on your internet.

Sounds like a fun thing to do when the internet's out.

I do love these pictures with limited color palettes. Just green and subtle spots of blue. Beautiful!

I love how you captured the different kinds of light - filtered, reflected, specular highlights in the background - along with all the different shapes. So many interesting things in the frame to hold my attention! Brava!

You're never afraid to experiment Tess, very nicely done. Welcome to my Internet world, traveling as we do, you never know what the signal might be or if there is a connection out in the wild.

That's just gorgeous, much like yourself.

Did I make you blush?

Hey all, thanks for responding! Our internet seems to be working. We are changing from unreliable Microwave to Satellite asap.

I have a question about this shot... would it be considered colour monochrome?

I loved reading all your responses and appreciate the comments very much. Ferns are holding a lot of attraction for me at the moment. There's so many ways to photograph them... they have much to offer!

Thank you again for being here, even when I wasn't....

I wouldn't consider it monochrome, the blue is too strong and imo is a definite important part of balancing this image. Different people may judge the monochromeness differently though.

It's quite nice no matter what you call it. I like it for similar reasons I liked your other fern image- you again have a fern viewed under an array of interesting states.
