Ba;d Eagle Feeding (slightly graphic).
Posted By: Tom Lusk, 03-15-2008, 06:33 PM

I found this deer (coyote kill) and set up a blind nearby. It took three days for an eagle to show up, and no I didn't spend three days in the blind.

Taken with FA*300:

Taken with FA*300 with 1.7TC, almost full frame:

Not too much loss of detail with the TC, but slighly different "tone". I like the non-TC shot best but the TC shot would probably print better at larger sizes.

Incredible shots, Tom!

So... how much time did you actually spend in the blind?

Hey Tom,
Great shots. Having a blind in the right spot at the right time sure pays off doesn't it. Of course you have to have a lot of patience to go with that. Check out Les Zigurski's web site. Its a feast for wildlife photogs like us.

Arghhhhhhh

This is another stunning post from you, Tom. I can only view the image with adrenaline rush!

So clear, sharp. The eagle has such a punchy sharpness that isolate itself from the cold severe surrounding. Glamour of this wild life majestic,

Tom,

Exceptional captures. The good thing about your images is that it shows that if you put time, effort and planning into a capture.... the quality of the output shows it.

Now, wait for the coyotes to return
