The last remains of a long summers day
Lens: DA*16-50 Camera: K-5 Photo Location: the Netherlands ISO: 80 Shutter Speed: Above 6s Aperture: F8

In the northern parts of Europe the sun isn't going down these day's. I'm not that far north but I sure would like to be. My favorite holiday destination is above the polar circle. As a small substitute for those arctic pleasures I waited to see the light disappear above the Waddensee on the Frisian coast. These are some of the results from that session.

Cheers,

Remco

I liked all three of these. I love those gray-blue shades.

Thank you all! It shot these during the 'blue hour' after sunset and couldn't get a satisfying result in PP until I used a simple preset in Color Efex I created some time earlier. I think I mixed some brown into the blue color and added some vignet Susan. And I've gotten some more good results from this session!

Thank you! And I'm not even totally satisfied with the unsharp foreground. After a repair (after a fall) I seem to have trouble to get the DA*16-50 to do exactly what I want.
