Streets NYC: The Golden City

I took a stroll through Midtown and Chelsea a few weeks ago with the DA 70/2.4. It was a bright, sunny day full of happy, smilng people - anathema for my style of shooting. I still managed to get a few shots I liked. I hope you enjoy!

I like the way you had a colour/texture theme across those photos, making them a series. Cool shots, nice composition, textures, and colours

@cruzn3: Thank you very much! I can definitely be heavy-handed with the post-processing but I'm glad some people like it!

@Na Horuk: I like the idea of doing series and have been shooting for this one for some months now, with an overall theme of a deserted New York. And then five years from now, I'll look at these pictures and wish I'd done something completely different, I'm sure!

Wonderful series! The rich tones make exceptional images. I normally don't see much I like in city shots...but I really like these. Thanks!

Haha, I don't usually like city shots either, but living in Manhattan, I'm kind of stuck with them for now. I'm glad you liked!
