These storms are one of the reasons we left Nebraska...

Thanks for the comments and "likes"! Despite it's impressive structure, this was one of the most benign supercells I have ever seen (a LP, for Low Precipitation, supercell). It was barely putting out any RAIN, let alone anything else. After dark I believe it was tornado warned once and put on quite a lightning display after dark also. A similar storm to its northwest about 60 miles in the Nebraska Sandhills was more of the tornado producer of that day. Another benefit of this particular day was that the supercells were just creeping along at 10 mph or less, making the "chase" a rather easy one.
