Pets Dog #540

I take pictures of the dogs at the Mahoning County Dog Pound in Youngstown, OH. I like to try to walk them in the neighborhood and get their pictures in unusual places. It seems to me that the traditional 'pound pictures' tend to make the poor pups look like inmates. I'm getting better with Photoshop, though I'm still no expert. This is my favorite picture of a pound dog so far; Kirby was a great model, and he was rescued after only 1 day there!!!

It can be a real challenge to get some of them to sit still enough for a good shot, but this guy was amazing.

Wonderful job you are doing. Rescue pets need shots that are like you said not looking like inmate intake shots and you are doing a fabulous job. Much like real estate shots need to give the potential buyer a feel for home, pound pictures work best when the puppy looks like a regular pet. I love what you are doing!
