This guy ruined my shot. Sortof.
Posted By: little laker, 03-18-2008, 05:44 AM

I was out for a walk in a local park yesterday, and saw some nice shriveled berries, which I couldn't resist attempting to photograph, even thought they were blowing around pretty quickly in the stiff breeze.

So I lined up for the shot, and got as close to focus as possible, using a Sigma 24 - 70 f2.8 les.

When this guy walked around the berry, I guess to get his picture taken

Here's the cropped version

So I took 3 shots, hoping that at least one of them would be in focus (don't forget it was a windy day) and that was the only one which made the cut.

I wish that I had a macro lens on at the time, although it sure gives me an idea what this lens can do.

It kind of interesting..

Stu, these are kind of interesting really... . I mean afterall.. he just wanted his pic taken..

The clarity of the fly/bug thingy actually came out really good.... It really shows the detail that your lens can handle on things like these that happen last min.. A cheaper or lower quality lens might have smirred it, but this one didn't..

Thanks for sharin.... Kim

I just love when things like this happen! You can't always get a bug when you want one but you can always wait until they leave to get the pic you originally thought you were going to take

Wow, that is a great shot! The fly adds a lot of interest to the shot and the contrast is punchy!

That means the fruit is potentially organicly healthy (provided the fly did not die afterwards)!
