Breast feeding by Big brown bat
Lens: Various lenses Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Québec ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 2s Aperture: F6.7

Found that Big brown bat in my backyard, and was surprised that it had a youngster hooked feeding at its mom .... he would not leave her a minute...

Found that spectacular even in my backyard July 1st 2013 (we have a lots of trees and flying bats around at night)

This one gives you the whole picture ...

Photos taken with a Pentax K-5

This one with lens FA 50mm 1.7 - 1.6 sec at ƒ/7.1 - ISO 100 - no Flash

Now close shots with a FA 100mm ƒ/2.8 Macro lens with Helicoid macro ring + Pentax AF 160FC Macro Ring flash (manual focus)

First time I see something like that !

First time for me too and thanks for sharing this wonderful experience with us. Can't believe this happened in your backyard. You are one lucky person. Great shots too and TFS them.

These are great. Looking at image numbers leads me to think you had plenty of time to get these shots and mom was not bothered by your presence.....TFS Cliff

Very nice photos. We used to see so many bats at dust here, but not anymore. I miss them, great to see these photos. Good work.
