Here are some shots from the AnimeExpo this weekend.
In my left hand I held a flash 540fgz in manual mode at 1/32 or 1/64 power with PT-04 triggers.
This was first time trying this mode of lighting, I need to practice more.
The folks were very willing models so made for an enjoyable day.

Definitely. I did have a Sigma 20 f/1.8 at one time, but I didn't like the way it did on my camera, so stuck with the Tamron. So far that has been perfect for it.

Hah, I was there, too, Larry! I'm not surprised that we didn't run into each other. I didn't see all the people I know, even though I was there all day Fri, Sat, and Sun.

Wish I could comment on your photos, but it looks like you're getting too many views on them. They must be pretty good. =)

BTW, I was walking around with my bumblebee K-01, K-5, and Q!

I got some decent results with that combo at a couple of conventions. It was my "lazy" kit. I usually carry around my heavier, bulkier Sigma 24-70 F/2.8 at conventions, so carrying around my K-01/DA 40 XS combo makes shooting a little more enjoyable.
