It is pretty and it grows wild in the UK and many other parts of the world. It's common name is 'foxglove' but it's not one you would want in your garden especially if there are children around as every part (roots, stem, leaves, flowers and seeds) is poisonous to humans. Extracts from the plant have been used in herbal medicines for centuries but that use is in decline now as much better alternatives are available.
