Jet dragsters race the 1/4 mile near the mile high city of Denver. This is the first time I have used this lens, makes for a great walk around, not too large or heavy and focuses quickly.

I've never seen a Jet Dragster like those "in the flesh". I imagine the sound & the spectacle would be unique.
Closest I've been was a few months ago we went out to look at some Nitro Funny Cars. I was in the pits & someone was running an engine up....I asked him what H.P. he had, to which he replied "about 7000"!!!....which is a bit different from my day in the late 60s when AA Fuelers were running S/C 392 Hemis with about 2000HP for around 7 sec 1/4s ....How things have changed.
I did an AMG "Drive Day" at the Phillip Island Race Circuit a few months ago....500HP was enough for me!

they have gotten so fast they have to slow them down now. A lot of time the nitro cars don't even run the full 1/4 mile. I think 500HP in a luxury sedan is plenty to cruse the byways. Thanks Bob.

I like these a lot better on the salt flats where there is no limit to speed.

I'll tell you buddy, if I was back there I would try like heck to convert you. That road racing stuff is pretty exciting though so I do understand what you are thinking since you are a true car guy.
