My Christmas Present
Lens: Pentax DA 55-300 mm Camera: Pentax K-5 Photo Location: San Diego

My Christmas present from my wife! A Lamborghini!

OK well, not actually the car itself..... but I did get a ticket to drive this thing three times around a makeshift track on the grounds of the San Diego Charger's football stadium. Pretty cool!

Nice piece of machinery would be an understatement.

Clearly a smart and caring woman. So how did you enjoy the ride?

Thanks MSL... the first lap was pretty timid, the second I took slightly faster but still a little uncertain, on the third I really tried to punch it, and he told me to slow down on the curves It drives like a grown-up go-kart, very low to the ground and very little perceptible tilt when turning.

Thanks Charlie... no, for this I used Topaz Simplify, the Buzzsim preset.

It was a lot of fun. My son is only 20 so he couldn't drive, but he got to be a passenger in a 500 HP+ Ferrari and he said it was wild. Here's a teaser:

Very cool - both picture and experience. For Christmas, my younger daughter arranged for me to ride in a 427 Cobra (scheduled for October); I'm looking forward to that experience.
