Cades Cove, The Smoky mtns and Lynchburg, TN
Posted By: Ed in GA, 03-19-2008, 05:43 PM

A few shot from my last weekend trip to the Smoky Mtns.

Unfortunately, it rained most of the day Friday and all day on Saturday so I didn't get many photo opportunities.

The Wild Deer at Cades cove are almost as tame as domestic cats.

Finally, there was water in the sluice for the wheel. But, it was diverted as the mill was undergoing repairs.

A waterfall along side the highway between Cades Cove and Gatlinburg.

If you're ever around Lynchburg, TN, the tour here is a must.

And, finally as seen in an earlier post, our last stop on the way home.

Is that the water they use for the Jack Daniels? I like the mill and the water falls best.

Actually, there is a cave behind the statue of Jack Daniel which is the source of the water used for the spirits.

Great shots The last waterfall shot is very good, I thought maybe cropping the blown bit of sky off might work better but its great as is.

Very nice tour. I still blown away by the amount of shots I see from others with deer within a stones through. Great work.

Something about the third shot of the deer is captivating to me. It is almost as if the deer has a sweet expression of inocence.

Great shots #3, #4 and #5 really do it for me. In fact, #4 looks like a Calendar shot.

I love the GSM Natl Park.

Lovely series of shots. Did you tour the distillary? I was there a bout 20 years ago, it is quite a trip of the interstate to get there.
