Ha! I can't think of any specific reason why dolphins have objections agains being photographed and them taking action against it doesn't seem a reality anyone should camouflage his lens for. He probably is someone who shoots birds normally.

It's hard to make out the brand in that shot at the resolution available (I did zoom in using the browser zoom) but the head looks like a 'pseudo fluid' video set up to me. 'Pseudo fluid' in the sense that it mimics a true fluid head but does not have fluid in the pivots.

Thanks for trying. I'm guessing it is a Manfrotto tripod because of the red logo on the legs. Less sure of the head, although it looks like it might be a simple three way pan-tilt. In which case it might be the same model I just got, which would give me a
