Bigma moon shot.
Lens: Sigma 50-500mm Camera: K5 Photo Location: Saugus Ma. ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 1/90s Aperture: F6.7
Posted By: charliezap, 07-20-2013, 11:35 AM

This was taken several days ago. There were very very thin clouds flitting by the moon and it seemed to give it a different look on a very warm humid night. The OS feature on the Bigma is a big plus.--charliezap

Great shot Charlie. Did you use the lens stabilization and a tripod?

Great details, I must say! More than I got out of my M*300. Good shot.

Thanks Susan and Bob.Forget about the other half Bob.How about if I get one of the backside. Now that would be impressive but the NSA would be at my door in a heartbeat. They take things too seriously.--charliezap

I'm not much of a moon shot fan, but that is certainly a good one, crisp and clear and love the color tones!

Regards!

Love the shot!

I find it interesting that the shadow on your moon shot is on the left, whereas the shadow on the moon here in South Africa a few days ago was on the bottom right - is that because I am looking at it from the southern hemisphere?

Great shot charliezap. I assume it was taken at 500mm? I have my eye on this lens and this would be one of the uses I have pegged for it.
